A lot of my friends ask me why I named my blog as “Delightfull Discoveries”. What’s the reason for choosing this name specifically for my blog? I know its silly and funny.
Well, here it is. Discoveries as in Discovery means finding something. Delightfull, the correct word being Delightful means pleasurable, enjoyable, lovely, pleasant, etc. So together Delightfull Discoveries means findings which are enjoyable/entertaining/terrific, etc.
It all started with the recipes that I found through blogs and youtube channels. Not just finding them, but even trying them. Then experimenting with them to suit my taste. Each recipe is a find, a discovery, whether it is a success or a failure. Each experiment that I do with a recipe results in a new discovery. A discovery whether I will continue to make that recipe or not. These are not big or new discoveries like great people did. These are little discoveries for me. Small things which give me joy or a chance to fail and improve, motivate me to go beyond my comfort zone and try new tastes.
Therefore my first blog “let’s cook them up” was all about those recipes. But soon I discovered, these little discoveries are not just related to recipes. But also to other areas of my life. Like the novels I read. Or like the new insights about myself after each meditation. Discovering the increase in my body’s strength and flexibility because of yoga day by day. Traveling and discovering new places. Discovering new blogs through the blogs I follow. It’s every where.
So when I decided to buy my own domain, I selected the name “Delightfull Discoveries”. A place where I can share these little discoveries.
